Who got to be a superhero, and news from the Glass House.
Hey there, true believers! For those of you who didn’t get to see the final episode last night, STOP READING!

Way to go, Feedback! It’s nice to see that the ultimate comic geek got his dream to come true…because I would’ve lost some respect for Stan if Fat Mamma won. And man…did I tear up when I saw Major Victory talking to his estranged daughter on the phone after he lost in the semi-final episode! I am going to have to get an issue of his comic for keepsake purposes…and of course check out his movie. Now to see if this is going to start up again next season with new tryouts….because me and a bunch of my friends are ready to give it a shot!
Oh no…no…just…just…don’t let them change the phasers into walkie-talkies, okay? 0_o
And now, the latest news from the Glass House on the Hill:

Congressional Democrats are planning to push a vote of “No Confidence” in Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld this month as part of a broad effort to stay on the offense ahead of the November midterm elections. About freaking time, I’d say, but maybe now they might actually get some help from some of the GOP.
Hey Rummie…since you so loved comparing us to Nazi appeasers, I just had to wonder if you ever read “A History of the Bush Family?” I figure you should have knowledge of some real Nazi appeasers before you start comparing us to them.
I know I posted this link yesterday, but I really feel everyone should watch this incredible editorial by Keith Olbermann concerning Rumsfeld’s comments. I swear, he channels Edward R. Murrow.
The GOP is seriously losing it. Not only are they incredibly racist, but they’re showing the signs of senility. Case in point:
The WH is complaining that the media is accusing them of using the phrase “Stay the Course” when it concerns Iraq. Pretty sad when you can’t remember what you said less than a month ago, people.
White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, 8/17/06: “[Y]ou…cannot be a President in a wartime and not realize that you’ve got to stay the course.â€
Snow, 8/16/06: “[T]hat’s why the President is determined to stay the course.â€.â€
President Bush, 7/11/06: “As a matter of fact, we will win in Iraq so long as we stay the course.â€
Vice President Cheney, 6/6/06: “[W]e have to stay the course.â€
They aren’t the only ones who can’t remember what their own people said.
Five days before Labor Day Bush announced he will recess appoint (so no one can stop him) Paul DeCamp, a corporate lawyer who represented Wal-Mart and built a career fightning unions, as head of the U.S. Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division, which oversees “the nation’s wage and hour laws, including overtime laws, workplace discrimination laws, and child labor laws.” More info at AFL-CIO Now. In other words…kiss your worker’s rights good-bye.
And finally, some good/happier news:
A UK drama will paint a fictional assasination of Bush in their false documentary. I wonder if it will become the highest rated show of all time?
Analysts say that gas prices could be back to $2.00 by Thanksgiving. Hey…remember when $1.75 was freaking expensive for gas? Those were the days…
