Hmmn….it looks like Heath Ledger has been confirmed by Warner Brothers as getting
the role of the Joker in the next Batman movie. I have to admit, I never saw Brokeback Mountain, so I don’t know if his acting skills have improved since I last saw him in A Knight’s Tale and 10 Things I Hate About You. Here’s hoping, anyway, because I just learned to like Batman movies again.

So let’s get something straight right now. To point out that our military has been overextended, taken for granted and neglected, that’s no criticism of the military. That is criticism of a president and vice president and their record of neglect.

A Tenn. GOP Congressman has been caught bragging about how the GOP sabotaged the Minimum Wage Bill with the mandatory cutting of the Estate Tax for the rich. Maybe all those minimum wage workers should show their displeasure in the upcoming elections.

And finally, it looks like Bush is continuing his wonderful diplomacy in the Middle East:

Last week it was reported that Sistani was on the vere of withdrawing his tacit but vital support of U.S. efforts in Iraq. So I guess in a way George IS working us towards oil independence…by making sure every country in the Middle East hates us with a passion.
